Let's Get Started

Welcome to One Stop Driving Academy  – the perfect place to begin your driving journey. Learning to drive is a major milestone, and it’s something most of us only plan to do once in our lives. Whether you’re 17 or older, driving opens up a world of freedom and opportunity.

For many, having access to their own transport is essential — whether it’s a job requirement or simply the ability to travel independently. At One Stop Driving Academy, we understand how important that freedom is, and we’re here to help you achieve it.

Whether you’re completely new to driving or have some previous experience, we offer tailored lesson packages designed to help you become the best driver you can be. Our comprehensive lessons include everything you need to prepare for and pass your driving test.

But we don’t stop there — at OSDA, safety is always our top priority. Our instructors are committed not just to helping you pass your test, but to ensuring you become a confident, capable, and safe driver for life.

How many lessons does it take to pass your driving test?

According to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), most learners need around 44 hours of professional driving lessons to pass their driving test. However, this is just an average — everyone learns at their own pace.

When it comes to figuring out how many lessons you might need, there’s no one better qualified to guide you than an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). At One stop Driving Academy, our experienced instructors will assess your current skill level and provide a realistic estimate of how many lessons you’ll need to reach test standard.

We tailor each lesson plan to suit your individual needs, helping you progress confidently and efficiently on the road to becoming a safe and capable driver.

Am I ready for my driving test?

At One Stop Driving Academy, our instructors are committed to ensuring you’re fully prepared for your practical driving test. As part of your lessons, we’ll conduct realistic mock driving tests that simulate actual test conditions.

These mock tests help identify any areas for improvement and ensure your driving skills meet — and exceed — the current DVSA test standards. Our goal is to build your confidence and competence behind the wheel, so when the big day arrives, you’re ready to pass with flying colors.

Should I learn to drive a manual or automatic?

This is one of the most common questions new drivers ask — and for good reason. Both manual and automatic cars have their advantages, and the best choice depends on your personal preference and future driving needs.

Learning to drive in a manual car offers greater flexibility. If you pass your test in a manual vehicle, your license will allow you to drive both manual and automatic cars. On the other hand, passing your test in an automatic car means your license will only permit you to drive automatics.

At One Stop Driving Academy, the majority of our pupils choose to learn in a manual car. This gives them more options once they’ve passed their test — whether it’s for work, travel, or simply having the freedom to drive any type of vehicle.

If you’re still unsure which option is right for you, our team is happy to help you decide based on your goals and driving confidence.
